The Miracle Worker
My first acting performance was playing Annie Sullivan, the teacher from the Perkins School for the Blind in Boston who taught Helen Keller, deaf and blind after an early childhood fever, how to communicate with sign language.
In her adult life, Helen Keller became an American author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and lecturer.
The play was performed January 3-23, 2011, at the San Diego Junior Theatre, the oldest continuously run youth theatre organization in the United States.
